Travel

Municipal Bus stop 3 doors down (hourly service), 3 blocks from Hwy 1 to Salmon Arm. 5 minute highway drive to eastern Salmon Arm or take one of many scenic back roads.

Schools

3 blocks away from North Canoe Elementary School (Grades K-5). The bus stop for Middle and High School students is right across the street. The regional School District #83 "promotes excellence in critical, creative and independent thinking based on a foundation of quality contemporary and traditional learning experiences."

Convenience

Post Office, neighbourhood pub, General store, Canoe Park, Senior's Centre, Community Hall all within 2 to 5 minutes walking distance (1-3 blocks).

On Municipal Snowplow Route and plowed regularly as it is a main access road. Sidewalks across the street. Highway is also well-maintained, so drives into Salmon Arm are manageable even in inclement weather.

Canoe is a perfect community for walking and jogging as there are so many destinations in walking distance: dog owners love their strolls here.

5 minute walk to the woods and walking/hiking trails. Canoe is surrounded by excellent mountain biking trails. Shuswap Lake, Boat Launch & Canoe Pier only 3 blocks away.

10 minute walk to "Club Shuswap" 18-hole Golf Course and Go Carts & Mini Golf. Several motels also in 10-minute walking distance.

15 minute walk to Canoe Beach, a popular tourist destination and a twin baseball field for community games. A youth summer camp is also coming to Canoe soon. Boat and houseboat enthusiasts will benefit from two marinas, Captain's Cove and Claire's Cove, just down the road.
