Most walls freshly painted in semi-gloss "Wildflower Honey," a contemporary and warm okra yellow. Entry wall in warm neutral "Navajo White."

Gorgeous bright white European-styled brickwork in entry and around living room in form of pillars, an arch and three half-walls define the space. Topped with new taupe tiles and neutral "coffee" grout.

Also lovely cream and beige floor tiles with coffee grout in front entry, along the front windows and at a wood stove or gas fireplace hearth [hookup available]. This custom tile work was completed by Balmoral Masonry.

Ultra durable smooth surface "birch" Ikea laminate flooring in excellent condition. New white floor trim.

Numerous electrical outlets for easy plug-in.

Windows

Large 6'5" by 3'10" north-facing window provides view of Bastion Mountain. White window trim. Finished with a pretty white cotton curtain.

Four 2' x 5' windows look out the front of the home to the west and bring in gorgeous golden evening light. An ideal place for plants. Finished with matching Venetian blinds to the bright, warm wall colour.

One standard sized south-facing window at the bottom of the stairs in the office corner. Finished with bamboo roll blinds [same as upstairs hallway].

Fixtures

Contemporary track lighting [matching that of the Dining Room] creates a nice effect and can be easily positioned to change the mood and focal points of the room.

Hanging between the main living room and the office recess is another cobalt blue and white patterned glass pendant light as seen in the kitchen. Compact fluorescent bulb for energy efficiency.

The office also has a 2-head light in matching style to the track lighting in the main living room.

Storage

In addition to the ample storage in the office, there is even more space in the easily accessible furnace/hot water room across from the office. Shelving and more space under the stairs. The central vac is located here as well.

Unique Features

Home Office Alcove

The home office [approx 6' x5'] can be used as a homework nook, craft area or as an office space. The small room includes built-in white adjustable shelving, a desk and a legal-sized filing cabinet. The downstairs breaker panel is located in the center of the shelving but is concealed by a nice cabinet door. The entire shelf can be covered with a bamboo blind. A south facing window illuminates the which matches the one on the south facing window

The custom-made arched stairs banister ends at the office entry. New white banisters with clean-lined iron balusters. The banister takes a lovely, swooping curve at the bottom of the stairs, following the classic "arch" theme throughout the home.

A classic white beam runs through the center of the ceiling in the living and dining rooms.
